I know. It's tough. loosing your first chao. But, don't let it ruin chao raising for you. Keep doing it, and soon, you'll have a chao that's better than your first chao. Believe me.

Oi, there are so many ways to keep chao alive it's not even funny.
1. Clone them.
2. If they die, reset the game...
3. Just make sure they like you...

thats y u need to hurry and make all ur chao's chaos chao's XD though 2 of my best ones diesd before i could get them to that level.. working on like 7 chao's at once is not easy in the slightest.

There's another way to immortality.
Always have two clones of your chao. Raise one of the clones until it dies or reincarnates. If it reincarnates, just say goodbye to it and take the clone, clone it, and repeat. This is immortality.

Incase you don't know how to clone them, I'm-a-gonna tell you right now.
Things you MUST have:
1. A Gamecube (God, I hope you knew that)
2. A Sonic Adventure 2: Battle disc (If you didn't know that, then crawl in a hole somewhere and die. Please. = )
3. Two memory cards.
Ok, first go to the chao transporter. Make sure both memory cards are in and put the chao that you want cloned's memory card in slot A. Go to the option that says move. (you can't be holding a chao, or you'll be unable to select move.) Select the chao you want cloned. Choose it and choose to move it to the other memory card. Now, remove the card in slot A and proceed to move. It will say "no memory card in slot A" and ask you if you want to continue without saving. select yes. exit the transporter. turn off the gamecube. If you followed the steps correctly, you'll have the chao on your original memory card (because after trading, it did not save) and on the other memory card (because it will still record that you traded your chao, even though you technically didn't.)
Please follow these steps carefully.
