Life Without Shadow

I've had this idea for a while, it's a sad-ish story about Shadow and a chao. It has a nice ending though.

I wished so much for him to come back. I'm just a little baby chao who has reincarnated alot without an owner. But I wasn't always that way...

"Shadow?" I asked a black and red hedgehog. "Yes Cobweb?" Shadow replied to me. He owned me and he always had since I was born. "Will you be with my forever?" I loved him, he was the best owner I had ever met. "I will try to be. I promise I will try Cobweb." he told me.

"Cobweb?" Shadow called. I came running up to him jumping with joy. I looked at his face. It was sad and serious. I stopped jumping and flew up so he could look at me right in there eye. "Yes Shadow?" I asked curiously. "Cobweb, I remember the Promise that I made to you." He told me. "But I'm afraid I have to leave you. I'm extremely sorry. I don't even want to leave but I have to." Then he hugged me. Tears started to fill my eyes. "Why can't I come? I've been allowed to before..." I asked him. "It's too dangerous. I might die Cobweb. And if I have a risk of dying, that risk is greater for you. I want you to live on for me and remember me Cobweb." He said. I was sobbing and I felt like I'd never stop. Crying for an eternity. Shadow hugged me again. "I will come back when this is over, if I am still alive." he said. I hugged him and he hugged me back. Shadow was nearly beginning to cry. He had known me since I was born. This would be the first time I'd ever be apart from him. "Goodbye Cobweb..." He told me. And he started to walk away from me. "Nooo...." I cried. I flew up as high as me wings could take me and shouted "Please don't go Shadow!" He looked at me, waved unhappily and flew off with the energy inside his shoes.

Now I fly up as high as I can go still and sit there all day, waiting for Shadow's return...

Thanks! I got the idea when I was playing Shadow the Hedgehog and daydreaming. Shadow had to leave his chao.

Part 2! Yay! Note: The whole place is in the Shadow the Hedgehog level, Cryptic Castle, where all the chao are. Think of that little place as a garden. Except with some grass, plants and trees, some water and no doors.

"Still waiting for Shadow to come back, hey Cobweb?" I turned and looked to see my best friend, Misha behind me. Misha was a Hero Chaos chao and the most popular chao of the garden. It was rare to be able to talk to her alone because she normally had fans following her all the time. "Yeah, I wish he'd come back." I told her. "I know how you feel." she said. "You do?!" I completely did not know about this. "Yeah, Amy used to own me. Except that was when she was a little kid. Soon she got into make-up and boys and things. And she.... she..." Misha stopped. Tears started to fill her eyes. "She took me once. I thought she had finally decided to like chao again. But I was wrong. She run over to a dump, picked something sharp out and started to try and stab me with it." She said. I gasped. That was so mean! "After I was bleeding quite alot, she threw me into the dump and ran off. I managed to look over the top and cry out to her. She turned, picked up a prickly stick and threw it at me. It stung my halo and then I fainted. When I woke up, I was here and Sonic was holding me. Amy was teasing him, but then she looked at me and told Sonic to take me back. Sonic said no. Then Amy dumped him which made Sonic very happy. Sonic still loves me of course, but I can't forget about mean old Amy..." she finished. She was crying now. I hugged her. "Cobweb?" Cobweb?" called a voice. It was a hedgehog's voice. Not Sonic's. It was a male hedgehog's. Sonic was here anyway. Sonic walked over to the male and told him that I was talking with Misha on the wall. I looked at the male. "SHADOW!" I cried. I flew up to him and hugged him. He hugged me back. Misha looked at me kindly. She had a look on her face like she knew Shadow would come back today. "Shadow?" I asked. "Yes?" "Where were you all the time?" I said. What had he been doing to the last 2 years? "Well..... it's a long story.... Cobweb." he said. "Please tell it." I said. He sighed. "Ok, well. First off, there is this chao named Thorn, and another black hedgehog named Ally Rose....." "You're in love?" I asked him, giggling. "Of course not." he laughed. But in his mind, he kind of was...

The end.

Ya, weird ending. But that story Shadow Dreams is so good!

Wow that was as deep as the first story. I promised myself I wouldn't cry no matter how sad the story was but I'm think'in. As I get older will I start to hate my chao. At least it had a good ending, I think?
